Here at Surplus & Outdoors we have over 50 years of retail experience, specializing in New and Used Army surplus from all over the world, Camping Equipment, Militaria and Workwear.

How to find us? We are located at 38 Comberton Hill, Kidderminster DY10 1QN, opposite the Severn Vally Railway. If when approaching Kidderminster, you follow the brown tourist signs with either a steam train on or 'Severn Valley Railway' you will find us! Parking is available on the road for a limited time or the station has a car park (pay nad display) so why not visit us, the town, and the Railway.

How do I purchase goods?
We have made buying from Surplus & Outdoors as simple as possible.

Our Web Site is Totally Secure and is open 24 hours a day! Our shopping basket will store items you have placed within it for upto four hours. Each item for sale will have an order button. When you press this button you are taken to the order-processing page where the item will be automatically added to your basket. To view items in the shopping basket and amend them accordingly simply click on the 'show order' section.

You can Also call us on 01562 863463 during office hours if you do not wish to order on line.
You can input how many of each item you would like, decide to continue shopping, remove an item from the basket or check out and place your secure order. It is at this time you would be asked for your name and address and then your credit card details if the shop has online authorisation. From within the order processing page you can become a Clubishop member - by doing this you will be entitled to various promotions that we run. It also enables us to store your personal information to assist you when checking out. This information will be stored in a 'cookie' on your computer. We will not store any such information on our system, in order to protect your privacy. The only details we cannot store are your credit card details.

Is my transaction secure?
Every on-line transaction made within Surplus & Outdoors is transmitted across the Internet using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. This industry standard method ensures that information sent from your browser is scrambled whilst in transit and decoded when it arrives on our server. You are far safer using your credit card within Surplus & Outdoors than you are in a restaurant in your local high street. We take the issue of security very seriously and have taken every step possible to protect you. Our servers sit behind a state of the art hardware firewall and the computer that handles the card services is a bastion host of the ishop mall servers, and not accessible from the Internet. We have employed the services of one of the countries’ leading security experts who regularly monitors and updates our systems.

What if I have problems ordering?
Common reasons for problems when pressing the order button are;
i) You are using an old browser that doesn't support SSL encryption.
ii) You are browsing from behind a corporate firewall that will not allow secure connections. Speak to the system administrator at your office. They will either fix the problem or you will have to order from another location. To check, point your browser to https://www.microsoft.com/ if you cannot connect to the Microsoft secure server it is likely that one of the above faults apply.

What if I do not receive my goods?
Normally, you should receive your goods within 2 working days, but please Allow 7 Working days. (except bank holidays). If you do not receive your goods after this period of time, please contact us on notreceived@surplusandoutdoors.com with your order number to hand. This number will be included in the e-mail you received when you ordered the goods from our shop. We will strive to resolve the issue immediately. If you have ordered heavier / bulkier items, this will have been dispatched via a courier.If you are unavailable at time of delivery a card will be left. If you (The Customer) Have Requested that the parcel be left in a safe place, This is at your own risk, if the parcel has gone missing that has been left by the Courier we are unable to refund you for missing items. If you have not recived your order within 2 working days please contact us for tracking details, so that you can contact the courier to arrange delivery for a convinient time. Please note the courrier will only keep un-delivered parcels for a limited period, after this they will then be returned to us, if you wish a returned order to be re sent it will be subject to return postage cost

When is my credit card debited?
Your card will be debited when the goods are dispatched. An authorisation takes place when you place your order. This simply guarantees that the funds are available on your card and that payment will be made to us. This authorisation remains valid for ten days. When the goods are dispatched, we will debit funds from your account overnight directly into our own. If certain items in your order are out of stock or unobtainable we will only partially debit your card order. We are also able to cancel or refund individual items of your order should this become necessary.

What happens if my card authorisation fails?
If the authorisation fails, the most likely explanation is that you have input your card details incorrectly. If this happens, press the back button on your browser and you will be returned to the card input page. Check that all the details are correct, and make any changes necessary before proceeding. If all the details are correct and you still fail to get an authorisation then we advise that you contact your card issuer to establish why your card was not authorised. We will receive your order anyway and may contact you to arrange for alternative methods of payment.

What risks are involved in buying online?
All personal data, including your card number is transmitted over secure connections, meaning that no-one can 'eavesdrop' and capture your details. In addition to this, your card details are not viewable by us at all, they are simply transmitted over the bank's private X25 network for authorisation and payment transactions. You are protected because the transaction was carried out as 'Cardholder not present.' This means that any payments will be refunded to your card should it be used fraudulently by someone else or you do not receive what you ordered.

Stock & Stock Levels
Most of the Items we offer for sale on this site are usually in stock. But If for any reason we cannot supply you with any part of your order we will contact you via email or phone to advise you. We may need to cancel or refund the item from your order, in which case the funds will be paid directly back into your account.

Postage and Packaging
We guarantee all of our products to be as described and free from defects. If however you receive a product which you feel is not as described, please email or call us within 14 days of purchase at returns@surplusandoutdoors.com to arrange an exchange or refund of goods.

Please quote your order number which can Be found on your original email conformation. We aim to replace any defective items with replacements. If this is not possible we shall refund your money immediately.

Exchanged items will only be sent after we have received the defective item back from you in the original condition it was sent. Please consult our contact details for the return address.

Next day delivery orders can be made over the phone on 01562 863464 but must be recived before 12 noon and is only available Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays and Christmas). Next day is only available to Mainland UK residents. For the Channel Islands and Scottish Isles please contact us for prices.

Standard postage costs are priced at £2.99, £4.99 and £9.95 depening on item(s)weight. Next day - please contact us for a price. Please check that you have chosen the correct delivery method, we are not responsibly for delivery order errors, your order will be processed according to the method that you have chosen

Please complete the delivery details correctly, we are not responsible for loss of incorrectly addressed orders. Please check your confirmation email carefully and notify us immediatly of any errors.
Please note that goods left by customers request (by either Mail or courrier) are done so at the customers own risk.

Overseas Orders
Please Note that we are a UK Shop, We will send goods overseas, at cost price to us, But Overseas orders May take upto 4 Weeks to Process, This Excludes BFPO Addresses which are dealt with the same as UK Postal address, ie. First class mail. If you are Outside of the UK, and wish to place an order with us, It is best to call Us on 01562 863464 With your payment details and we can get the order processed for you allot quicker. Any Overseas Orders placed on Line will be dealt with In about a 4 Week Turnaround Time. .

Returns Policy
We guarantee all of our products to be as described and free from defects. If however you receive a product which you feel is not as described, please email us or call within 14 days of purchase Exchanges / refunds after this period will be at our discretion: at returns@surplusandoutdoors.com to arrange an exchange or refund. We are not responsible for damage caused by mis-use or general wear of items. Items retuned and deemed to have been misused/used and returned will, either be returned to the customer at customers cost or require additional payment.

Please quote your order number which can Be found on your original email conformation. We aim to replace any defective items with replacements. (excluding items that have been mis-used / general wear) If this is not possible we shall refund your money immediately. Sorry we cannot refund any postage costs. Orders returned over the value of £50 will incure a re-stocking charge of 15% of the origional order

Exchanged items will only be sent after we have received the defective / incorrect size item back from you in the original condition it was sent (ie unused and/or unwashed). We are also happy to exchange goods that are unsuitable or the wrong size, although we will charge additional postage and packing at the standard rate.
