L2 British military issue Grenade bag 1960`s dated

- British military issue grenade bag
- Khaki cotton bag with strap
- Made for the L2 grenade
- The grenade was a copy of the US M26 fragmentation grenade and could be attached to an adaptor and launched as a rifle grenade. this required a tail piece adaptor and a special cartridge:
- To carry these tail unit adaptors and cartridges a special satchel was issued in British service
- cotton twill the same as .303 bandoliers
- box shaped lid
- two copper staples / hooks to fasten (like a bandolier)
- inside of the bag is divided up into five spaces with an internal divider
- each divivde was designed to hold one of the tail units, vertically.
- base of the bag is ‘D’ shaped and padded
- inside of the bag has an ink stamping with an ordnance code, SV375A,
- dated 1967 and a manufacturer of C.B. & Co Ltd:
- The rifle grenade was not popular in British service
- unissued but may have storage marks on
- Great little bag idea for a couple of cans if at a vintage ralley!

For overseas orders We use Royal mail small packet post for orders under 2kg and Parcel Global international Service for goods over 2kg.
