I have purchased goods many times from both their shop in Kidderminster and their online store. I would like to say how friendly and helpful the staff are! I recently purchased online a British army lightweight sleeping bag grade 1. Not only was this the cheapest I could find on the internet but it arrived in Yorkshire the following day and it’s appearance and functionality was that of a brand new one! Everything I have purchased from the company over the years is always best priced and top notch! As an ex career soldier always looking for the best deals I cannot recommend this company more highly! absolutely outstanding, the quality of goods, amazing, you order next to new, you'd think you'd ordered new as for shipping /delivery, can't fault them in any way, you order your goods, pay standard postage, 8/10 there at your door next day, if not the maximum you/I have waited is two to three days. Hi there folks, Just wanted to give a bit of feedback. Late on Wednesday night, I ordered a PCS thermal smock from you. I thought maybe there was a possibility of it turning up today - Saturday. Was really impressed to see that it had been dispatched swiftly on Thursday morning and delighted to find it had arrived on the Friday morning after i had come home from work. Have had some disastrous service recently from companies like DPD etc, so happy to see that you are using Royal Mail as I believe they are far more reliable than a lot of other delivery firms. This is my first purchase from Surplus and Outdoors. I was apprehensive about buying used clothing as the term 'good condition' is very subjective. However I took the plunge on an Austrian Army Goretex mountain jacket and am delighted I did. I don't know if I'm just lucky but the jacket I received is in great condition. After serious scrutiny the only 'fault' was a missing plastic end cap for one of the elastic draw-cords. I rectified this in seconds with a spare saved from an old coat. The fit of the jacket is excellent and the quality, durability and functionality seem top notch. With hindsight, I've been a mug for buying expensive waterproofs from outdoor retailers. They used to be great but the modern trend for lightweight gear has negatively affected performance and longevity. I've been spending hundreds of pounds on gear that has failed within a year; hence the search for an alternative. This jacket on the other hand is how all waterproofs used to be - hard-wearing and dependable. I feel sure it will be totally reliable not matter what Mother Nature throws at me. For the price it's unbeatable and I love the colour. I'll never buy waterproofs from an outdoor retailer again. From now on it's Military surplus all the way. Thanks guys!

Dear Sirs, just a quick note to say how pleasantly surprised I was to receive my order Wednesday after only ordering the goods Tuesday, that's great service. All goods were received as per the description, if not better than anticipated and I am off to the Lake district this weekend to try some of the waterproof stuff out, it will be wet I'm sure!! You probably get a number of "complaint" emails but being a professional Procurement Manager I realise how much the "good news" emails actually mean to people and not enough are sent, so please feel free to share this with your staff or on your web page. Good morning, I've just got my Mk5 German / Dutch Army Military Issue Para boots (as new condition) and would like to offer the following review: My appreciation of serious footwear comes from spending a lot of time on Dartmoor when I was younger, including every once in a while lugging stretchers loaded with fat fools wearing trainers, and I am literally delighted with these boots. Like tanks on the outside, marshmallows on the inside; "extremely comfy" is putting it mildly, you can really feel exactly the kind the kind of ankle support you want for a long day on rough terrain. Hi, thought I'd give you some feedback.......... I bought my 1950's army knife from you over a year and a half ago now, and its the best folding pocket knife I've ever used. The spike is far more useful than I expected it to be, and I no longer use normal tin openers. As for the blade.... the steel is second to none, The edge is wickedly keen and hard, yet easy to sharpen, and it holds its edge very well. Its such good quality I know I'll be using this knife for many years to come..... thanks so much for your quality service. The french army sleeping bag I ordered has also served me well on many trips, even sleeping under the stars......
