- Genuine British Army military 44 pattern Jungle haversack
- 44 pattern haversack was a considerable improvement on the 37 pattern design.
- After operations in Malaya and Borneo i a larger design was needed
- In August 1965 a new pattern was introduced.
- ‘Haversack, All Ranks’ was much larger
- large central compartment and two side pockets
- waterproofing was improved with a thicker material used in a grey-green colour (not blavk)
- side pocket was secured with a turn button fastener
- These pockets are designed to take the two halves of the mess tin set
- the bottom of the haversack has two straps that can be used to secure items eg bedroll etc
- The bottom straps can be run through the loop, to be folded up and tucked away nearly when not in use.
- The haversack larger,than previous versions
- weather flaps that can fold over with eyelets to be able to tie closed
- if the bag is not always be full a tab is sewn to the underside of the top flap with buckle to pull closed
- The top flap has loops and c-hooks to allow other items of equipment to be carried,
- two long straps at the bottom
- Can be attached to the rest of the 44 pattern set in the same manner as the 37patt.
- Buckles above the side pouches allow it to be slung on the hip
- on the rear are the tabs needed to allow a pair of L- straps to be fastened
- Grade 1 will be used faded have names / numbers on will be moldy on the inside
- Grade 2 as above but holes and much tattier

For overseas orders We use Royal mail small packet post for orders under 2kg and Parcel Global international Service for goods over 2kg.
